Outer Protection
Soft Shell
GORE-TEX® Soft Shell Feel the difference. GORE-TEX® Soft shell products are made of soft warm fabric. They are designed to reduce thickness and improve freedom of movement, whilst remaining durable, waterproof, windproof and breathable. A specific GORE-TEX® membrane is bonded between the outer material and the polar lining.
POLARTEC® WindBloc® A total windproof and breathable membrane sandwiched between a durable water-repellant outer surface and soft insulating inner surface, providing all weather protection. |
POLARTEC® PowerShield® POLARTEC® PowerShield® fabrics are the next generation of Soft Shell technical outdoor garments. This clothing concept goes beyond traditional 2-layer systems, which feature Powerdry® and a waterproof/ breathable shell, to a single layer that protects against all but the worst weather conditions and delivers extended breathability, abrasion resistance and stretch to enhance your outdoor experience.
Softshell This a new material concept that is currently the focus of most innovation. These materials have 2 surfaces with complementary characteristics:- - A very tightly knit and durable outer surface that is tough, windproof and water resistant. - A breathable fleece interior that allows efficient evaporation of perspiration while keeping in the heat. This lightweight and comfortable material protects the wearer in a wide range of activities.

Insulation
Duvet Down is a natural source of warmth and offers unbeatable protection against the cold temperatures of winter or at high altitudes. Be it in terms of the warmth-weight ratio, its compactness or its capacity to hug the body’s curves, no other insulation material can match it. The warmth indicator of the product is evaluated by the proportion of feathers or down. The higher this proportion, the warmer and better quality the material will be.
Filling Power International standard that quantifies the “Filling Power” (FP) of down, or the volume of air retained by down. As air is considered the most efficient insulation, the more the down retains warm air, the higher the FP, and the warmer the garment.
Thermolite® down-like insulation provides excellent compactibility and warmth, up to 6 times more than a polar fleece of equivalent weight. It is anti-allergic treated, machine washable and quick drying.
Thermolite® Plus A lightweight insulation material that keeps you warm in low temperatures thanks to a special mix of fine hollow fibres.
Thermolite® Micro A micro fibre insulation material with a softness and warmth similar to down.
Thermolite® Extra A soft and warm insulation material with a thickness similar to down.
Thinsulate® Thinsulate® insulation traps and holds body heat and provides good moisture control.
A 100% polyester material brushed on both sides and offering a high level of heat insulation whilst being very light and extremely easy to care for and comes in a variety of weights and finishes suitable for all types of use. Aigle uses Power Dry®and the Classic Micro for the layer worn next to the skin and Thermal Pro®for the outer layer. For heavier weights we use 300 Classic, Powershield and Windbloc®.
Polartec® Classic 300 Polartec® Classic 300 weight fabric is the heaviest and provides a warm thermal layer for very cold outdoor activities.
Polartec® Thermal Pro® Recycled Polartec® Thermal Pro® Recycled weight fabric provides outstanding warmth and versatility. AIGLE is committed to the environmental cause and has chosen a top quality material made of recycled polyester threads which offer excellent thermal performance. Recycling is an important environmental gesture that saves energy and significantly reduces waste and the release of noxious emissions into the atmosphere.
Polartec® Classic Micro + antistatic Polartec® Classic Micro weight fabric is ideal for a warm first layer or lightweight sweater. Anti-static Polartec® Technology controls static.
Polartec® Wind Pro® Polartec® Wind Pro® fabric is four times more wind resistant than traditional fleece. Because it is not a laminate, it is extremely breathable, maintaining 85% of the breathability of traditional fleece.
Polartec® Thermal Pro® Polartec® Thermal Pro® fabrics are woven in a unique fashion that creates pockets which trap air and retain body heat, providing outstanding warmth without weight. These fabrics also offer excellent breathability and dry quickly.
Polartec® Power Dry® Polartec® Power Dry® fabrics are designed to keep your skin dry when you sweat. All fabrics in this series feature a patented bi-component knit construction that uses different yarns on either side of the fabric. This creates two different surfaces: one that is optimised to move moisture away from the skin, the other to dry quickly.
Polartec® Power Dry® Renewable® Polartec® Power Dry® Renewable® are double-sided knits with renewable natural fibres on the outside and polyester on the inside. Renewable resources are those that nature manages to replace more quickly than we can use them. AIGLE has chosen a support that combines the qualities of wool and polyester. The wool is absorbent and guarantees thermal insulation while the polyester keeps you dry.

Technical Fibres
Natural Fibres
Organic Cotton Naturally cultured, environmentally friendly cotton which is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilisers – SKAL certified.
Recycled Cotton This product has been made using recycled cotton from the off-cuts and waste yarn left over from spinning, which are usually discarded. These off-cuts have been reprocessed to achieve a naturally rich and slightly irregular appearance. It will keep its distinctive character over time.
Linen A strong natural fibre which is hypoallergenic and ‘stress-free’. Extremely fresh and comfortable to wear in summer, it allows ventilation of the skin and wicks away perspiration. Linen is produced by environmentally friendly methods.
Bamboo A natural fibre which is particularly soft to the touch. With its anti-bacteria and anti-odour properties bamboo gives the product increased breathability. It is a biodegradable product and as such is kind to the environment. |
Treated Fabrics
Dry-Fast® Textile Aigle’s DFT® fabrics move moisture and sweat away from the skin to the outer surface of the fabric where it can easily evaporate. DFT® clothing ensures you stay dry and comfortable whatever your activity.

A water repellent and anti-stain treatment which protects the garment for up to 20 washes.
Nano Cotton® This new treatment has been designed using the latest nano technologies and is applied to cotton for a long lasting water resistant and anti-stain finish.
Garment Dyed® This product has been garment dyed and subjected to a special wash in order to achieve its unique appearance. Therefore each garment will vary slightly in appearance. This is natural and should not be considered as a defect. We suggest that this garment is washed separately inside out. Exposure to strong sunlight may alter the fabric’s appearance.

Outlast® lining The technology employed in Outlast® products is known as temperature regulating phase change materials (PCM) and was developed for NASA, in order to protect the astronauts from thefluctuations of temperature in space. For the Parcours Outlast®, the coating is applied to the entire interior of the boot, in particular to the area where 70% of perspiration is generated (under the foot). This coating contains microcapsules that absorb excess heat, store it and return it when it is needed. The walker therefore neither becomes too hot or too cold and this comfortable temperature is maintained in many different environments and at varying levels of activity. Even after many hours of walking, the wearer will notice a reduction in perspiration levels and as a result, reduced heating or cooling of the skin, ensuring constant comfort during activity as well as during periods of rest.
